G R Armstrong’s latest Australian noir novel The Memory Of The Beach has been released and is gaining ground in Canada and Germany. Evidenced by Jane Harper, Garry Disher and Chris Hammer, Aussie noir has taken over as the most popular in crime/thriller genre over the past few years.
But The Memory Of The Beach is also close to home, as it is set in the beach sides of Glenelg and Brighton, and focused on the mysterious and infamous disappearance of the three Beaumont Children 40 years ago. With new evidence and discoveries, The Memory Of The Beach goes to places that the police never did back in the 60's, and aims to provide new theories and possible answers to the disappearance.
Locally the ABC and Sunday Mail are interested in the theories behind the fictional tale. Channel 7 is about to do a Hunter special on the subject.
